Let's Meet Lawren

Hello everyone, my name is Lawren Fowlkes. I live in Central Florida, land of Mickey Mouse and it is hot, hot, hot here right now.

I have been crafting for a long time. My first craft was sewing, my mother taught me at a young age and I have been sewing ever since. I eventually got into scrapbooking and that seemed to take over my hobbies.

I have one daughter who is usually the subject of most of my scrapbooking. I have been scrapbooking about 10 years and card making for about 4 years. In addition to my paper crafts I also, crochet, knit, read fiction books and hoard paper crafting supplies.

From the first moment I saw The Stamping Boutique images; I became a fan! I am so excited to be a part of the team here at The Stamping Boutique and I can’t wait to get started.

For her  project she used Tooth fairy Cynthia and created a mini pizza box to hold all the little teeth from that her daughter keeps losing. LOL! Our oh so snobby princess is back!

She back and kissing her Christmas presents. Well what did we expect? Typical Princess Jennifer Latte. LOL!

I bought the most beautiful Crate Paper Christmas paper and really wanted a new image to use with it. So I decided to do a new PJL. I just thought that I should have put some mistletoe hanging above her, but it's too late now. Darn! Well, I'm off to start my project. I just might post it if it's any good.

Let's Meet Rene'

 

I live in a small town called Dundee in Sunny South Africa, I have been married to my amazing hubby Ray for 13 years and we have 3 gorgeous sons, Caide - 12, Bryce - 10 and Jamie 4. I love them all to bits, they certainly keep me on my toes!!

 

My papercrafting journey began in 2005 when I discovered scrapbooking, and cardmaking followed a few years later. I really enjoyed this hobby, but since discovering Copics, it has become a passion of mine!! I also love keeping my blog, and have made so many new friends through it!! I also love to knit, quilt, spend time in my garden, and when I have the energy, excercise!!

 

I am so excited to be a part of the team here at The Stamping Boutique, I LOVE Tracey's images!!

 Rene' is starting us off with a lovely creation (left) today using the "tulips" image and it can be found here in the store. There are so many wonderful elements on this card, where do I start?  Distressed edges on pink paper, little bit of stitching, nice pop with that floral paper, etc.  I think my fave part is how she framed her image, it just really makes it stand out!  Who wouldn't love to receive this beauty, perfect for almost any occassion!



Now hold on to your socks as this "thanks so much card" (below) is the card Rene' submitted for the DT call and you can see why we selected her. WOW that yellow just POPS of the page and a color I seldom use, but she has made it work in all the right ways! Great overall design, spectacular coloring and a perfect finishing touch with that little tag make me wish I got this beauty in my mailbox! Let's Meet Melissa

I am a SAHM to three boys, ages 7, 4 and 1. I have a wonderful husband who has become very tolerant of my creative addiction. :) I live in the Midwest and love the change of seasons! I used to work full-time as a dental hygienist, but that has become very part time for now while we raise our little ones. I'm enjoying the opportunity to explore my creative side! :) Life is busy, but there is always time for the things you love! Crafting is one of those things for me! I can't wait to meet everyone and start creating!

Melissa has started off with a bang creating this wonderful card (left) featuring "Moose" which you can find in the store here.  I love this clean and simple design with the image as the focus and the piercing around image is just the perfect touch!

This beautifull card below she has whipped up for our Birthday Challenge going on this month. It features the image "Little Girl with a Balloon" and can be found here in store. Perfect paper choices and the overall design make this card pop and who doesn't love a little sparkle on that balloon!

Edited: Wow that was quick, congrats to Kath Hernandez on being lucky #1700, so I am updating this so now we are going for 1750 and that's when next prize will be awarded!

We just a reached 1700 followers away, now with it being our birthday month I would love to see us reach 2000 followers  If you have not signed up as a follower yet, now is the time! TSB birthday cards!!!!!

I received the most wonderful package in the mail! I don't even know how they did this, but my design team (past and present) got together and all sent me birthday cards to celebrate TSB's 2nd birthday. One after the other I opened them and just wanted to cry. I think it's the nicest thing anyone's ever done. Thank you so very much everyone. I love you all!!!!!
