The first is using the AJ the Race Car Driver, don't you just love those vibrant colors and the buttons are a great touch. Perfect for all those cute little boys in your lives! For her second card she used the Baby Fairy image, what an angelic image! I love how she has added the pretty embossed butteflies and bling, the sentiment is just perfect!

TSB Remembers 9/11 Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us today on our special blog hop to "Remember 9/11." If you came here from Amanda's blog you are almost finished hopping, if not please head over to Collette's blog to start the hop! I know we all have memories of the events of 9/11 and what/where we were when we heard the news! So we are hopping today to honor those that are fighting the war after the affects of 9/11.

Operation Write Home collects cards made by many of us stampers for the service men and women to send home to their family and friends since there aren't any Hallmark type stores where they're stationed. Operation Write Home has some specific requirements for their cards which can be found on their website. Just click the highlighted link to find out more. (For starters - NO GLITTER ... Stickles are okay since they won't typically rub off. Also - they prefer the standard A2 size cards, but will gladly accept any you wish to donate.) If you have a stash of cards you don't know what to do with, Operation Write Home would love to take them off your hands. They typically ask, however, that you include a blank envelope for every card you send. It's a wonderful way to show the troops some love by allowing them the opportunity to send a card back home. Please take the time to visit Operation Write Home and OWH Stars & Stripes Blog for more info on how you can become involved in sending a little love and support to our troops!

Please make sure to leave a comment today on what you thought of the hop, one random person will win 5 free digi images of their choice from TSB! In honor of the hop today, please grab this free ribbon image to use on your wonderful 9/11 creations.

Sweet'nSassy fund raiser.

Korin Sutherland at Sweet'nSassyStamps has been raising money for the past couple of years for the baby girl of her friend who has leukemia. Her name is Kate Thorton. I just read on the Sweet'n Sassy store front that little Kate passed away on 9-5-10. This just breaks my heart for Kate, Korin, Kate's family and friends. I just can't imagine losing a precious child. Korin is having a fund raiser for Kate's family by selling a little Kate princess digi stamp for $3.00 of which %100 of the proceeds go to Kate's family. I purchased one and if you'd like to, I've provided the link at the top of the page.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Introducing Amelia, Our September Guest Designer

Hello, I am Amelia Breytenbach and I won the guest designer spot for The Stamping Boutique for September – what a wonderful opportunity and privilege.

I am married for 26 years to Nico, my biggest supporter, and we live in Pretoria, South Africa with our two dogs. I am a librarian at a large residential university for the past 30 years and still enjoy my professional job. But when I am off duty I keep myself busy with card making - I just love it. I have been stamping for 6 years now but started blogging and enter challenges since February this year. I have a variety of stamps from several companies, local and abroad. I am a newbie to digi stamps and really enjoy the advantages and ease of use of these stamps. My first card with a digi stamp was actually with a TSB image! I use different colouring techniques for my cards but my favourite is watercolour pencils and odourless mineral spirits.

Choosing the images from The Stamping Boutiques’s collection was quite challenging as all of them are just awesome. Thanks for the opportunity to showcase these digi stamps on my cards and share the projects on your challenge blog.

You can visit my card making blog here.

Haunted bird house and Scarecrow!

Good morning!
I think it's going to be another hot day today. That makes it tough to work on Christmas images, but I think I'm going to start on them today. A lot of people seem to be getting a head start on their Christmas cards so I better get busy. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and having a great week!
Happy creating!

Copic Tutorial Part 3- Finishing Sunny Baby Image

Hello Everyone. Ready for part 3 of coloring Baby at the beach? This time the tutorial will be about coloring in the rest of the areas and you can see the card I created with it! Perfect way to end summer since school is starting up!

Lets get started!

------------
STEP 1
Here is the image and how I left off from the last tutorial (coloring sans). This time I am focusing on coloring in all the white areas on the image. I will be using quite a few markers.

STEP 2
I will start with her beach towel and coloring it green. I will be using G07, G05 and G02. Starting with G07 I will shade in the areas that will be the darkest (where the sun will hit last).

STEP 3
Now I will take the medium color (G05) and add to the color, spreading it out a little more.

STEP 4
Taking the lighest green (G02) I will finish coloring in the white spaces and all over the green areas to evenly blend.

STEP 5
Now I will be coloring the top area of the image (sky, sun, bird). For the sun I used Y02 and Y06. For the bird I used B60 and for the sky I used one of the newest Sketch markers B0000.

STEP 6
Now I will be coloring the little girl image. For her skin I used E00. For her hair I used Y17 for a darker blonde. For her swim suit and hat I used RV21, RV23 and Y17 for the little flowers.

STEP 7
Now it's time to finish coloring the shells (I used E95) and the sand toys. (I used YR04 and YR16)

STEP 8
Here is a close-up of the finished colored image!

STEP 9
Use the image to create a project! I used a card with some bright paper scraps that just screamed BEACH to me. I also put glossy accents on the sun and the sea shells in the sand. For my added embellishment I used a Prima flower and actual shells I got from our Florida trip in May.

I hope you enjoyed this part series for the Copic tutorial. Be sure to stay tuned for my next tutorial....it's a fun technique!!
