My Mother's Day gift.

Look at what I received for Mother's day yesterday from my 16 year-old DD Kalie. A handmade card and 6 decorated sketching pencils. It's the best gift anyone's ever given me. I just love it. I'm all too aware that I won't be getting many more handmade gifts from my girls, so I especially cherish this one. All you mommy's of little ones who received handmade gifts, take good care of those gifts because all too soon you'll start getting flowers and CD's. Which is great, but nothing in as special as the cards written is crayons and the paper flowers. Happy one day late Mother's Day!

Exciting Announcement

I have lived in the heart of the mid-west my entire life right in the middle of Kansas.  I have two grown sons and 6 grandchildren.  I have done crafty things all my life.  In the beginning it was embroidery and sewing projects.  I even had my own custom curtain business for a few years.  Then about 7 years ago I started paper crafting and making cards.  Now I pretty much just make cards and include some sewing on them from time to time.  Started my blog a couple of years ago and I am totally addicted to doing lots and lots of challenges.  I really love to try new and different things or get totally out of my creative box and design my own version of something.

Thank you for the opportunity to work as your Guest Designer for May.

ArtDollz at TSB!

I thought we might have some fun with some new art dollz. I'm thinking about doing a new castle for her and maybe a dragon? My daughter and I stayed up last night playing in the paint and this is what I came up with. LOL! Now what do I do with it?

It's been such a long time since I've drawn "My Little Audrey" TSB designer, Collette Landwer, requested and Audrey flower girl with a ring of flowers in her hair and an empire dress (LOL!) and I couldn't resist. I've kept her pretty simple. I thought she'd be easier to work with that way. What do you all think? Do you like all the sparkles around the images that I put? or would you rather have them plain? or a happy medium?

Winged Things

This can be ANYTHING that has wings. I thought it would be perfect for spring now that all the "winged things" are starting to come out. You can even use angels or fairies, bee's, butterflies....whatever you have that has wings!!!

I really love this look. That DP looks like real jeans! And a very pretty bird for her winged thing!

Michelle:

These colors blow me away! They are sooooo pretty and the coloring...wow! And she added butterflies too as her winged thing! AND....she used some of Tracey's new digi papers for her background and butterflies!! I'm gonna be grabbing that!

Miranda:

BEAUTIFUL butterfly!! That is so delicate and pretty! But we can't leave out the wonderful image!

Stacie:

Well....I'm just not even sure what to say about this. I mean I'm blown away by this card. I don't like to be byass because I really do love all the DT's creations EVERY week but this week....I think Stacie went above and beyond with this. You really need to enlarge this image so you can see all the details in those feathers!!! Great work Stacie!!!

Here are a couple of bunny samples from Christy Dillman- she made her PEEPS sparkly & fluffy using embossing powder and for her layout she used sparkly flufy on the inside of ears and polka dots!
