Fun Projects

Hi Ladies! I am super excited to be featured on today's blog post! What an honor. I am here to share a few Fast and Easy ( and inexpensive ) ideas.

First up is my New Year's Survival kit. I don't know how many out there are in the same boat I am this year, my youngest and my niece are legal drinking age. This means it's the 1st time they are talking about going 'OUT' for New Years. I have faith that I raised them to be responsible young adults, but I am still a worried mom/aunt. So I made them a New Year's Survival kit.

Supplies -
    1 sheet 8/12 x 11
     TSB image Snowman Father Time

Use 1 sheet 8 1/2x11 and print images - SnowmanFather Time fits the theme well

Make score lines @ 1/2" and 3"
Then flip it over and score at 1/2" and 3" again
Cut it into 4 to make 4 'pillow boxes
Each one holds
    - 1 chap stick ( for soft lips for new year's kiss )
    - 1 mini tic tac ( for decent breath for new year's kiss )
    - a $5 bill ( I am buying first drink ).

I am writing important info inside ( in case they lose their phones or they run out of battery ) The info includes -
      - cab company info (with prepaid ride code that our local cab offers )
      - Designated Driver phone numbers ( hubby and uncle agreed to do this ).

These are super fast and easy to make, and will fit in jeans pockets for easy use.

The 2nd project is a countdown board. I used TSB Image Snowman Father Time on several different types of boards and several themes as well. boards.

Dry erase board -

Kraft paper with a chipboard backing and shelf for large dice to countdown to Christmas.

Blackboard - As I was making this one I decided to leave off what we were counting down to.

So we used him to countdown to the lightshow we went to, then to our 24th anniversary, then Christmas, now to New Year's eve, then Hubby's Birthday, then eldest's birthday then Spring ( I think you get the picture ).

Using Snowman Father Time you can count down to anything. Imagine making one for a student's locker, days until big test, or winter dance.

If you can't get a dry erase or chalk board you can paint anything with chalkboard paint, OR do it on a picture frame.

Christmas may be over for this year but we have lots of winter left  and being indoors means lots of craft time ( if we are lucky ) so have some fun, try new things. With all the holiday images on sale and the new release coming out I am sure there is an image that will call to you.
Enough rambling for now :) I hope these inspire you to make something and share it with us.
Miki
