Challenge #38~Doodling and Winner

Happy Tuesday! It's a nice sunny morning here in NC even though we have been having a ton of storms the past few days! I got a letter yesterday in my son's bag that said they only had 17 more days of school....OMG...where has the year gone? Not sure if I'm ready for the summer...I'm glad we'll get to sleep in and enjoy the wonderful weather and beaches BUT....I am not ready for my kids to be fighting and complaining about being bored and so on!

Okay...here is our winner from our challenge last week:

Winner Challenge #37

Lovely work ladies!

CHALLENGE #38
Doodling
We all have a little artist in us so let it shine! You don't have to cover your project in doodles but I want to be able to tell where the doodling is. It can be an elaborate background as you will see from some of the DT girls or it can be a few hearts or squiggly lines!

her doodling can be seen as her border and she drew the sentiment as well! Man...I can't stop staring at her face...the coloring on this image is fantastic  and just compells you to need to stare at it!

This is perfect...it's not a lot of doodling but she did "doodle" the stitching and she drew the eye on the easel! Those colors are fabulous!

Judy:
and then you have elaborate!!! This entire background is doodled! Can you believe that? You really need to enlarge this picture so you can see the wonderful detail on this!

She doodled around her image and was saying it was horrid but this is what I say....I think it's fabulous! You stepped out of your comfort zone (which is what a challenge is all about) and you just went with it!

Hmmm....how strange two girls used the same image this week...must be something about the moose that says "doodle me"...lol...did a few touches of doodling around the image and added to the grass.

and last but certainly not least!!!! AMAZING!!! I'd say someone enjoys a little doodling in her free time! I am in awww of those that can just and do something like this. Fantastic work!!

Did you know that their are actual tutorials and "techniques" to doodling? Google it once and see what you come up with...maybe it will help you find your inner artist!! They say it's very relaxing and a great stress reliever...hmmm...maybe I need to give it another try ;-)

Wednesday, May 2, 2012

Oh goodness...today I went in to help with my son's kindergarten cap and gown pictures and it turned out that my son's teacher was taking all the pictures for alllll of kindergarten AND pre-k so what I thought was going to be just an hour or two turned out to be all morning and then some so I ended up spending the day at school volunteering so in turn my post is up late! Please forgive me! I will be happy when school is out for summer...that is until my kids start fighting every day ;-)

Smoochie Scardey Cat Digital Stamp

Hi everyone,
I have a new Smoochie today. I started her out goth, but it got away from me and she ended up "Cutesy Goth" LOL! Does that make any sense at all?
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
xoxo,
Tracey

Challenge #35~Inspiration and Winner

Is everyone staying warm where you are? I know a very cold front has come through NC and up north there has even been snow...ugh....sorry if you are enjoying the cold and snow but this girl would prefer warm and sunshine!!!

I loved all the participation last week but then again anything goes is always a pretty popular challenge! I was a little disappointed that we didn't have a single entry that used a TSB image :-( I know you all have at least "1" TSB in your files and I challenge you to use one for this challenge! Remember, if you use TSB image you get entered 2 times into the drawing!!

Let's start with our winner and top 3 from last week!

Challenge #34 Winner

CHALLENGE #35
Inspiration~
allow the picture to inspire you in any way. It can be the colors, the scene, the things in the picture, what the picture represents to you...anything as long as you can explain how it inspired you!!

Melissa:
She decided to use the pretty poppoy image with lots of red's and green's sooo pretty...I love the sentiment!!

Miranda:
I just love this DP and again...the poppy image is "popping" up...lol...(okay...I thought it was cute and funny... ;-) ) I just LOVE this die cute around the image and the beautiful flowers!

Elizabeth:
Very pretty and I love how the image is the main focus on this card. I love daisy's in summer!

Audrey:
I love this coloring! If you notice...a lot of the girls used the daisy's image but they all look totally different...looking at this coloring I'd think this was a different image then the one that Elizabeth used! Oh...the die cute around the inmage looks like a flower too....tooo cute!

Sandy:
Pretty pretty....she was inspired by the pastels colors in the inspiration photo and I love the pink daisy's.

Debbie:
OMG...this is stunning! She was inspired to do a Mother's Day card and used a fold called a double fold...those tulips are beautiful!!! I love that she cut the image out!
