Red, White, and Blue

Since Memorial day is on the 30th I thought it would be nice to honor and remember all of our Active Duty and Veterans by using the patriotic colors for our challenge. You do NOT have to have a patriotic card as you will see from what our DT has put together, I just want to see the colors of red, white, and blue so have fun with it!

I love the extra colors added with the R,W&B...the crinkled paper and distressing.

This was one of my first TSB images and from what Collette said it was one of her's too. That flag looks amazing! God Bless America!!!

Challenge #6~Circles

Good morning everyone! I hope that your week started off well! I am sitting here typing this up as the Haverty (furniture store) people bring in stuff for the kids bedrooms. What a mess....this is their second time out here and now they will need to come a 3rd time!!! First it was something with my daughters headboard (so they couldn't bring that out), then they brought us the wrong bunk beds for my son and NOW there was something wrong with the "right" bunk beds railings so they need to come out a 3rd time.....how frustrating!!!

But anyway...your not here to listen to me whine right?! But it sure is nice to vent a bit!!

I will announce the winner of challenge #5 and the top three tomorrow. I just have not been able to get through all the entries to get a top 3 but I promise to have it up tomorrow!!!

This looks as delicate as those flowers are! The pretty pastel color, the doily, and circle cut out.....soooooooooo pretty!

I just love easel cards and I love them even more in the shap of a circle. This is really the cutest card!!! Cute colors, cute buttons....just cute!!

Hmmm....Michelle.....are you still in winter mode? I certainly hope not since we are quickly approaching summer!!! LOL! I just love those embellishments and all those circles!!!

Someone was enjoying her day in the sun. She was doing this in her garden using a mixed medium technique. What a stunning work of art. Did you notice the image and the two layers...wow...the coloring is amazing!!!

Andrea:

This is a great end-of-year card for a school student! So cute and again....ton's of circles! I really like that arrow!!! Too cute!!!

My Mother's Day gift.

Look at what I received for Mother's day yesterday from my 16 year-old DD Kalie. A handmade card and 6 decorated sketching pencils. It's the best gift anyone's ever given me. I just love it. I'm all too aware that I won't be getting many more handmade gifts from my girls, so I especially cherish this one. All you mommy's of little ones who received handmade gifts, take good care of those gifts because all too soon you'll start getting flowers and CD's. Which is great, but nothing in as special as the cards written is crayons and the paper flowers. Happy one day late Mother's Day!

I have lived in the heart of the mid-west my entire life right in the middle of Kansas.  I have two grown sons and 6 grandchildren.  I have done crafty things all my life.  In the beginning it was embroidery and sewing projects.  I even had my own custom curtain business for a few years.  Then about 7 years ago I started paper crafting and making cards.  Now I pretty much just make cards and include some sewing on them from time to time.  Started my blog a couple of years ago and I am totally addicted to doing lots and lots of challenges.  I really love to try new and different things or get totally out of my creative box and design my own version of something.
